ClimatePartner is a solution provider for corporate climate action: We combine individual consulting with cloud-based software that is unique on the market. We help our customers calculate and reduce carbon emissions and offset unavoidable emissions. This renders products and companies climate neutral, which is confirmed by our label.

We offer carbon offset projects in different regions and with different technologies and standards. The additional social benefits of the projects are particularly important to us. Our efforts are geared towards the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.

ClimatePartner was founded in Munich in 2006. Today, our more than 300 employees are spread across offices in Munich, Berlin, Essen, London, Milan, Paris, Stockholm, The Hague, Vienna, and Zurich as well as Boston. We work with more than 4.000 companies in 35 countries.

Your mission

  • You give comprehensive, self-responsible legal support, advice and negotiations in all questions of contracts in the field of project development of climate protection projects worldwide 
  • You draft and process contracts in connection with project development, in particular Project Development Agreements and related agreements
  • You independently work out solutions for specific legal issues
  • You coordinate external advisors where necessary
  • You proactive analyse and evaluate legal and regulatory developments in the above-mentioned segment
  • You support in "due diligence" processes
  • You independently handle tasks, inter alia, in the areas of contract management, commercial and corporate law, M&A as well as competition and personnel law
  • You define and roll out legal policies across the organisation

Your profile

  • You have extensive knowledge of international commercial law and several years of practice in the processing and negotiation of international (project) agreements
  • You have at least three years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a law firm or company
  • You have the ability to structure complex issues clearly and pragmatically from a legal and economic point of view and to implement them in contractual arrangements
  • You have an economic understanding and interest in technical and interdisciplinary issues
  • You are a strong negotiator and have project experience
  • You are a strong communicator and team player
  • You have excellent English language proficiency (spoken and written)
