Reports to: GOTS Managing Director

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria.

We are a mission-driven non-profit organisation and we are looking for a Knowledge Management (KM) and Continued Education Specialist who will operate from home with occasional travel. This is a part-time position or converted to a full-time position later.

Your key responsibilities include

Development, Implementation, and Operation of the “GOTS Academy” for internal and external stakeholders. The GOTS Academy shall be the central place for information material and training from GOTS for inside and outside stakeholders.

  • Develop the structure of the GOTS Academy
  • Coordinate the development of a related website and online presence
  • Support the selection of future training modules and subjects
  • Coordinate development of training/web content internally or externally
  • Roll out the initiative and assist in publicising the same.

GOTS Knowledge Management

  • Develop and implement GOTS‘ KM strategy
  • Design and implement effective learning activities for GOTS staff

Your qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science or comparable education and three years of relevant experience in knowledge management or in continued education
  • Experience from similar functions in international organisations, or in civil society.
  • Working experience in communications (including internal), development of training/education concepts/material is preferred.
  • Working experience in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams is considered an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel as and when necessary.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
