Would you like to gain an overarching insight into the HR work?  

At CDP Europe, we are looking for an Employee Engagement Trainee to join our growing People, Culture and Administration team. As a trainee, you will support our People Operations team, looking after more than 85 colleagues based in our regional head quarter in Berlin. 

About the role:  This role will be a key member of CDP Europe’s People, Culture and Operations team and get to know the different areas of HR-Personnel support and development, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, labour law and internal communication. This role is going to report to the Associate Director People Operations, Europe.

The Role Includes

  • Responsible for all employee engagement activities;
  • Providing support within the recruitment processes;
  • First point contact for onboarding and offboarding;
  • Supporting in Operational HR work;
  • Maintenance of Personnel master data in our HRIS, Personio;
  • Responsible for maintaining all employees’ files and documentation;
  • Supporting Associate Director People Operations in regional and global HR projects;
  • Assisting with ad-hoc tasks as required. 

The Successfull Candidate Should Have

  • Successfully completed education or university degree in Business Administration, Human Resources management, Psychology or similar;
  • 1 year of professional experience - Ideally, first professional experience (working student / internship/ Trainee) in the HR environment;
  • Enjoys organizational and administrative activities;
  • Hands-on mentality, willingness to learn, quick learner and fun with new tasks;
  • Very good knowledge of English and good knowledge of spoken and written German;
  • Thorough and service-oriented way of working, even in stressful situations;
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel;

Further Information

The successful candidate will work five days per week and must be able to legally work in Germany. This full-time position is based in our Berlin, Germany office and reports to the Associate Director People Operations, Europe. The contract is initially for one year, with the intention of working together on a long-term basis.
