Our head office is located in Hirschberg near Heidelberg in Germany. Our 180 employees offer services ranging from complete EU registration packages, general consultancy work to sophisticated GLP field studies and various combinations of these elements.

Our ecotoxicology team located in Hirschberg / Germany is looking for an experienced scientist / ecotoxicologist (full time).

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

The candidate will be involved in various aspects of registration activities for plant protection products under Regulation (EC) 1107/2009 including:

  • Calculation of ecotoxicological risk assessments according to EU regulations and national requirements (e.g. for aquatic organisms, pollinators / bees, earthworms, birds and mammals)
  • Preparation of dossiers according to current EU regulations and national requirements
  • Evaluation of scientific data according to registration requirements
  • Preparation of expert statements
  • Evaluation of authority requests and commenting
  • Data gap analysis
  • Study monitoring (lab and field)
  • Communication with clients and authorities
  • Project management and strategic consultancy, development of higher tier strategies for refinement after extensive ‘on-the-job’ learning phase

Your Qualification

  • Scientific background (biology, ecotoxicology or equivalent discipline)
  • Professional experience in the field of (regulatory) ecotoxicology is of advantage
  • Publications in international peer-reviewed scientific journals are a plus
  • Experience in GLP & technical understanding is advantageous
  • Very good level of written and spoken English, other language skills are advantageous
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and team player skills
