Eurofins Agroscience Services Ecotox GmbH is part of the Eurofins Agroscience Services global CRO network, providing laboratory and field studies along with eco-toxicological and analytical testing to support the screening, development and registration of test substances in Europe, US and beyond. The company offers all ecotoxicological studies required for the registration of agrochemicals, chemicals, biocides and veterinary/human medicinal products globally. This includes standard terrestrial and aquatic organisms’ laboratory studies as well as higher tier semi-field and field testing.

In our Ecotoxicology Laboratory located in Niefern-Öschelbronn (Germany) we have an immediate opening for a:

Study Director Aquatic Ecotoxicologist (Fulltime) - Endocrine Disruption & Higher Tier Fish Studies (Reference EC 20/09-13)

Responsibilities:

You will be planning, performing and reporting fish- and amphibian ED and other higher tier aquatic studies. This will include endocrine disruption (ED) testing such FSTRA, AMA, and XETA, but also ELS, FLC as well as bio-concentration studies. Your challenge will be to act as Study Director for this key studies as well as establish new test systems according to the relevant OECD and/or US EPA guidelines. You will be responsible to perform GLP fish- and amphibian studies, which includes the elaboration of the study plans in collaboration with the clients, perform/supervise the laboratory work, evaluate the results and write reports. Close and open communication with the clients on each step of a study will be also your responsibility in this role. Networking with the scientific community as well as participation and presentations (oral/poster) at scientific meetings and/or ring-test groups is part of the job description.

Ideally you have the following skills:

• PhD in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecotoxicology or relevant scientific discipline
• Experience in aquatic ecotoxicology in the field of fish- and amphibian testing with expertise in endocrine effects testing
• Technical knowhow in the operation of flow-through systems, fish and frog breeding
• CRO and/or industry experience as well as GLP experience is an advantage
• Operational excellence with well-structured working style
• Team spirit and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite
• Able to work independently
• Demonstrate motivation, initiative and pro-activity
• Fluent in English and at least advanced German knowledge
• Very good computer and statistical skills
