The aim is to contribute to the consolidation of peace and security jointly with the partner institution by focusing on creating new jobs and promoting private sector development in the agroforestry sector, youth promotion and violence prevention, strengthening the employability and social integration of young people and disadvantaged groups. The main target group of all projects are youth and marginalised people living in rural areas in the eastern parts of the country. Your tasks Support the Principal Advisor of the Programme for Sustainable Agroforestry and GIZ Cluster Coordinator to ensure the integration of Peace and Security in all projects Organizing regular knowledge exchange between the advisors as well as preparing best practices/lessons learned Fostering exchange with civil society, development partners and other German implementing agencies Analysing developments and its implication for the projects/portfolio (e.g. new laws, development partner strategies and changes in security situation) Accompanying project planning missions and preparing documents Advising and supporting the projects on conflict and context-sensitive implementation Supporting the operationalisation of the local risk management Your profile Master’s degree in a relevant discipline e.g. peace and conflict studies, political science, social sciences First relevant work experience Excellent planning and organisational skills as well as excellent diplomacy and persuasion skills High frustration tolerance Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to appreciate cultural and ethnic diversity Fluency in English; good German and Portuguese language skills are an advantage Driver’s licence Location information Please use the following link for information about living and working in Timor-Leste .
