Climate Policy Researcher focus aviation and maritime transport

Main focuses of your work: You will concentrate on climate policy issues at national, European and international level. This includes the design and quantitative evaluation of policies and measures in the area of aviation and maritime transport, the design of international carbon markets as well as analyses in related areas of climate policy. You will work independently in various project teams, prepare reports and presentations, develop political recommendations for action, present research results externally as well as lead and acquire projects independently.

What we expect:

  • You have a degree in climate policy, aviation/maritime transport, logistics, environmental protection, economics or other subjects with comparable contents.
  • You have several years of professional experience in the development, analysis, design and evaluation of climate policy instruments at national, European and international level. You enjoy developing appropriate analyses and proposals on important issues, also at short notice.
  • You enjoy working with data and figures, are familiar with scenario analysis as well as how to interpret them and you have a very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • You find it exciting to apply your analytical competence on an international and European level. Experience with European or international institutions and policy processes and with project acquisition is an advantage. You have a very good command of English and at least a basic knowledge of German.
  • In addition, you can communicate very well verbally and in writing, are keen to work in a team and work well independently.

What we offer: A highly motivated, professional team working on a wide range of national and international climate and energy policy issues. Payment is based on our in-house tariff and includes a Christmas bonus and other social benefits. Your employment contract is initially limited to two years. The scope of the position is 75%-100%.
