We are looking for a Berlin or Warsaw-based Learning and Development professional to join our growing global HR Team.

We are a legal and environmental charity that uses the power of the law to fight against climate change and to protect nature and the environment. In this role you will be leading on our learning, development, and succession planning solutions, as well as working on a range of wellbeing initiatives to ensure the health and wellbeing of our people, building on the initiatives we have put in place over the last year during the covid pandemic.

Meet your Manager

In this role, you will be managed by our Director of Human Resources, Paul Richards. Paul joined ClientEarth in 2015 and is based in London. Paul is responsible for the strategic leadership of our human resources function, currently consisting of nine members of staff.

Prior to joining ClientEarth, he worked in a range of sectors, holding senior HR roles in international development, health & social care, and as a freelance HR Consultant working with small to medium-sized enterprises with an ethical remit.

Main Duties

  • Develop and lead on the implementation of the global annual learning, development and talent management plan and programme
  • Support planned organisational growth through the development of an internal talent pipeline
  • Design, develop and manage succession planning mechanisms
  • Design and deliver organisation-wide induction programme
  • Regularly undertake evaluations, surveys and audits to improve our programmes of learning
  • Develop organisation-wide health and wellbeing strategies, plans and policies
  • Carry our staff surveys to inform decisions
  • Regularly deliver training on staff health and wellbeing

Role requirements

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
  • Learning and development and/or coaching qualification or equivalent experience
  • Significant and demonstrable experience in the end-to-end design, delivery, and evaluation of training initiatives and supporting documentation
  • Experience of developing and rolling out staff wellbeing initiatives
  • Experience of working with managers/team leaders using coaching and/or leadership development tools and techniques
  • Fluent (CEFR level C2) in English
