Postdoc (m/f/d) in long-term field experiment (LTE) data reuse

Leibniz-Zentrum für Agrarlandschaftsforschung (ZALF) e.V.

The mission of the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) as a nationally and internationally active research institute is to deliver solutions for an ecologically, economically and socially sustainable agriculture – together with society. ZALF is a member of the Leibniz Association and is located in Müncheberg (approx. 35 minutes by regional train from Berlin-Lichtenberg). It also maintains a research station with further locations in Dedelow and Paulinenaue.

ZALF's research is addressed in three program areas and a research platform. The Impact Assessment of Land Use Change research group analyses changes in agricultural landscapes, their value for people and their impacts for sustainable development. As a consortium partner in the "SoilWise" collaborative project, funded by the HORIZON Europe Soil Mission, we are committed to enhancing knowledge management strategies and data reuse in the field of landscape and soil research data. This involves the expansion and further improvement of our interactive overview map and meta-information of Agricultural Long-Term Field Experiments (LTE) to promote LTE data reusability to offer valuable insights to the LTE community.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated postdoctoral researcher with expertise in agriculture and/or environmental sciences to join our dynamic research team. The ideal candidate is desired to have expertise in data interpretation and reuse, combined with an understanding of agricultural and soil experimental systems. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our LTE (meta)database, improving the interactive overview map, and conducting advanced statistical and spatial analyses to support ongoing research on LTE (meta)data reusability in transforming complex datasets into meaningful insights that drive sustainability and support our ongoing studies on LTE (meta)data reusability.

We are offering a full-time position of initially up to one year starting as soon as possible, for a
