Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF)

The mission of the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) as a nationally and internationally active research institute is to deliver solutions for an ecologically, economically and socially sustainable agriculture – together with society. ZALF is a member of the Leibniz Association and is located in Müncheberg (approx. 35 minutes by regional train from Berlin-Lichtenberg). It also maintains a research station with further locations in Dedelow and Paulinenaue.

The FONA Impact project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space (BMFTR) to support its FONA strategy (research for sustainable development). The aim is to develop and test new approaches for the ex-ante and ex-post evaluation of the impact of research on sustainable development goals. The project consortium includes the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (ISI), PROGNOS AG, and ZALF.

We are offering a part-time position up to 60 hours per month for a period of 6 months starting 01.05.2026 at our location in Müncheberg as

Student Assistant (f/m/d)

Your tasks:

  • assist in moderating workshops and preparing workshop materials
  • maintain correspondence with stakeholders and workshop participants
  • data and literature analysis
  • creation of overviews, lists and documentation

Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in agricultural science, environmental science or a related field of study
  • experience in sustainability assessment and/or participatory methods are a plus
  • very good communication skills especially in electronic communication formats
  • fluent in written and spoken English and German
  • very good knowledge of MS Office
  • a high degree of self-organization and personal responsibility
  • ability to work in a team and flexibility, willingness to learn new things
