Über uns

URBAN UTOPIA ist ein junges Startup, das mit der URBAN UTOPIA Conference im Juli 2025 erfolgreich frische Impulse für die Pflanzenwirtschaft gesetzt hat. Aktuell arbeiten wir an der Etablierung der tilia awards – einem interdisziplinär angelegten Pflanzenpreis, der innovative Projekte im Umgang mit Pflanzen in der gestalteten Umwelt auszeichnet und dies mit einer besonderen Netzwerkveranstaltung in Berlin - dem Pitch Day - verbindet.

Unsere Vision: gestaltete Umwelt grüner, lebenswerter und zukunftsfähiger machen – From Plant Lovers for Plant Lovers.

Deine Aufgaben

Als Trainee unterstützt du uns proaktiv beim Projektmanagement und in der Organisation rund um den tilia award:

• Projektmanagement : Planung, Koordination, Kommunikation, Umsetzung von Projektabläufen (Operations)
• Kommunikation: Ansprechpartner:in bei Rückfragen mit Einreichungen
• Netzwerkarbeit & Community Outreach: Kommunikation mit Initiativen, Organisationen, Kreativen und Partner:innen
• Kommunikation & Öffentlichkeitsarbeit: Unterstützung bei Texten, Updates, Community-Ansprache
• Datenbankpflege & Organisation: Strukturen aufbauen und Überblick behalten
• Startup-Mentalität: Ideen einbringen, ausprobieren, Verantwortung übernehmen

Dein Profil

• Lebensbejahende Grundeinstellung & Begeisterung für und Liebe zu Pflanzen
• Studium in einem relevanten Bereich (z. B. Architektur, Botanik, Stadtplanung, Umweltwissenschaften, Kommunikation oder vergleichbar) – wichtig ist deine Motivation, nicht dein Studienfach
• Begeisterung für Themen der Stadtentwicklung, Architektur, Umwelt
• Erste Erfahrung im Projektmanagement wünschenswert
• Kommunikationsfreude, Teamfähigkeit und Lust auf Community-Arbeit
• Strukturierte, selbstständige Arbeitsweise und Offenheit für ein dynamisches Startup-Umfeld
• Lust in verschiedenen Feldern mitzuwirken - flexible Arbeitsbereiche (auch hands on)

About us

URBAN UTOPIA is a young startup that launched the URBAN UTOPIA Conference in July 2025, bringing fresh ideas and impulses to the plant sector. We are now building the tilia awards – an interdisciplinary plant prize that honors innovative projects working with plants in urban and designed environments. The award will be presented in Berlin and connected with a special networking event – the Pitch Day.

Your tasks

As a trainee, you will actively support us in project management and the organization of the tilia award:

• Project management: Planning, coordination, communication, and implementation of project workflows

• Communication: Contact person for applicants and partners

• Networking & community outreach: Communication with initiatives, organizations, creatives and partners

• Public relations: Support with texts, updates, and community communication

• Database & organization: Building structures and keeping track of information

• Startup mindset: Bringing in ideas, trying things out, taking responsibility

Your profile

• Positive mindset & passion for plants

• University studies in a relevant field (e.g. architecture, botany, urban planning, environmental sciences, communication or similar) – your motivation is more important than your degree

• Enthusiasm for topics like urban development, architecture, sustainability and design

• First experience in project management is a plus

• Strong communication skills, team player, interest in community work

• Structured, independent working style and openness to a dynamic startup environment

• Willingness to work across different fields – flexible and hands-on
